They have created more than 500 international players and 4000 national players, the best sportsmen and sent 7 players to Olympics till date. Dr. Chenraj Roychand, a visionary, has been the pillar of support for every sports and sportsmen, by providing the right guidance, support & encouragement. To take this support to the next level he envisioned to reach out to the nation through a run, which would involve every individual of the nation, to contribute towards building a platform that would promote sports & also work as a launch pad to the most deserving sportsmen who are on their journey to global excellence. My Country Run is that vision which was instigated with active support and leadership from two like-minded personalities one a sportsman Dr Sankar & the other Mr Gul, a runner, who have been working since three decades. The cause and the objective of the run is to: ? Create/Prepare Olympians of the future ? Actively imbibe the spirit of sports & healthy living in every individual of the nation ? Support deserving sportsmen by equipping them with the right advice, training & knowledge to excel in globally renowned sporting events & meets. REGULATIONS 1. Further to receipt of application and processing of the same, a confirmatory acceptance email would be sent. Thereafter, bibs will be issued from 27th to the 30th January, 2016 from 11am to 9pm, at: Jain University Center for Management Studies #133, Lalbagh Road, Bangalore ? 560027 2. To collect the bib, the applicant would have to produce a valid ID. In case the applicant is unable to collect the bib in person, he/she may authorize an individual to collect it on his/her behalf, along with a signed letter of consent and a copy of the confirmatory email. 3. The bibs are not transferrable. 4. Every runner must wear his/her bib on the front of the vest. 5. Participating in the run without the bib, would lead to the person being escorted out of the race route by security personnel. 6. Please note if you tamper with the bib tag in any way or remove/exchange it with another runner, you won't be able to get an official timing certificate, nor be eligible for prize money. 7. Applications are accepted for only one race category, per individual. 8. If the participant has a condition that prevents him/her from taking part in this event (like chest pain, heart ailment, dizziness, high or low blood pressure, difficulty in breathing, joint problems etc.) the participant is seriously advised to get medical clearance from a prescribed medical practitioner. This is in the participant and his families interest. The organisers strictly refuse to take responsibilities for such participants. 9. If a participant appears medically unfit, the organizers reserve the right to stop him/her from participating in the said event. Even under such circumstances, no refund of application fee will be entertained. 10. There will be specific cut off timings and deadlines prevailing for each race, the same must be adhered to. This is in the interest of smooth transition from one race to another. 11. Using headphones would prevent the participants from being aware of the prevailing environment or emergency situations. Hence no headphones are allowed on the race route. 12. Baggage counters are available only for participants of My Country Run. For security reasons, participants are requested to come, as far as possible, without any baggage. It is strongly recommended that you do not leave valuables like mobile phone, camera, jewellery, watch, electronic gadgets, etc. in the bag stored. 13. Participants are to report on time for their respective race. Latecomers will not be allowed to participate. 14. Race courtesy ? Please follow traffic rules on race route, as well Overtake from right, walkers or slow runners stay on the left side of the track. ? Try to avoid stopping suddenly during the race, to prevent collision. ? Use empty bins to dispose bottles, cups or trash. 15. Winner medals and merit certificates will be presented to the first three winners in the men and women category. 16. Finisher medals will be awarded to all participants of 10K run. Post completion, participants must collect their finisher medal, at the venue itself. 17. All Cool 5K participants must collect their Participation certificates post completion, at the venue itself. 18. Timing certificate will be available for download from the event website, 20 working days from race day. 19. Participants are not allowed to run with pets, babies/children who are underage for the event. 20. Participants are requested to cooperate with the police, volunteers and security personnel deputed at the event venue and on route. Participants/supporters are liable to random checking on race day, this is for your own security.
